"Catching Fire" by Suzanne Collins

THey meet new friends and new enimies alike in one way, they all want to win! This book is so high action you won't want to stop reading! The ending is the most shocking I have ever seen! This a stupendes read. A 5 of 5!

"Point Blank" by Anthony Horowitz

This is the riveting sequel to "Stormbreaker" the first of the Alex Rider novels. It takes place a short time after the first and is the story of how Alex broke into the academy for rich delinquents, Point Blanc. He is sent to recover the son of a recently deceased CEO. He happens to be the 9th richest man in the world! To do this Alex must pretend to be the sun of the owner of one of the biggest supermarket chains in the world. When he gets to the school the fun starts! I can say that this is a very good book for fans of James Bond. It is a very exciting ride. I give it a 4 of 5 stars.

"Hunger" by Michael Grant

This is the page-turning sequel to Gone is everything it's predesscor was and MORE! In Hunger, the kids of Pedrio Beach relize they shouldn't of eaten all the junk food, because now they have no actual food! With everything rotting or stolen things are goinng downhill fast. But then the darkness comes along. It takes control of peoples minds, egging them to do his bidding. This is because he's, "Hungry in the dark." Want to now what that means? Or maybe you just like violence? Really Hunger is a book for anyone liking romance, violence or scary near-death experinces! This is one of the greastest books of all time! 35 out of 5 stars. Trust me you'll love it!

"Rescue Josh McGuire" by Ben Mikaelsen

Rescue Josh McGuire is a book about a thirteen year old boy who runs away to the mountains of Montana. Josh was forced in his mind to run away. His drunken father hadn't been the same since the death of Joshes older brother. Josh's once caring father who had been filled with compassion turned to drinking and violence. After Josh rescues a bear cub that had been orphaned by its father, he realizes that the county game warden will take the bear cub away from Josh for research and a certain death in the state laboratory. After Josh gets advice from a former environmental professor and goes through a night of sleeplessness, he makes a plan to get away from civilization. Now those wilderness survival lessons Josh's dad and brother taught him will pay off. The adventure starts with some struggles through weather, food, and nosey people. "Steel Trapp: The Challenge" by Ridley Pearson

Imagine that you are just tring to do a good deed. Simple right? Then your good deed turns into a wild ride! Thats what happens to Steven "Steel" Trapp. After just tring to return a suitcase to a woman on a train, his whole LIFE changes! He ends up involved in a FBI investigation! All in all, this is a great read. I give it a 5 of 5 stars.

"Gone" by Michel Grant

Have you ever wished that all the adults in your town would go away? After reading this you might chsnge your mind! In this awesome thrill ride, all the people over 15 in Pedrio Beach, California dissapear. THen a gaint barrier appears! As if that wasn't enough, kids and animals start changing, gaining diffrent body parts and powers! It all turns into an allout WAR! Freaks vs. normal kids! Rich vs. poor! Mean vs. nice! an amazing book! Rating this book wouldn't be possable, thats how ggod it is!! P.S I suggest kids under 11 dont read this however as it can get scary!

"Blackwater" by Eve Bunting

13-year-old Brodie planned on spending his summer vacation hanging out with his best friend and trying to impress a girl he likes. Instead, he gets stuck babysitting his cousin Alex from the city. While trying to teach Alex how to swim at the local swimming hole, a terrible event takes place that Brodie is at fault for. One girl ends up dead and a boy is missing thanks to Brodie's mistake and the dangerous Blackwater River.

The catch? Everyone thinks that Brodie is a hero because he jumps into the treacherous Blackwater after the two victims. Brodie is too afraid to speak up and tell the town what really happened. Shortly after, strange clues begin to appear at his parents doorstep that lead him to believe that "someone" saw him that day. Will Brodie own up to his mistakes or will he let the town believe that he is a hero? You will have to read it yourself to find out! I would rate this book 4 out of 5 stars.

"Snakehead" by Anthony Horowitz

Snakehead is the seventh book in the Alex Rider series. I think that is is one of the better ones. I recommend that you read the first six in order first though before reading "Snakehead" or, in most parts, you will be totally lost. Alex is recruited by the ASIS, Australian Secret Intelligence Service. They want him to go undercover with a man named Ash and pretend to be his son. But he soon realizes that Ash may have some connection to his family. After almost being killed in a Muay Thai match, the most aggressive and dangerous form of martial art in the world, and hiding on a crate ship that was supposed to have smuggle him across the ocean, Alex finds out that it was all for nothing. At least that's what he thinks. MI6, British Secret Service, contacts him and the worst news of all comes. Scorpia has stolen a very dangerous bomb called Royal Blue. They plan to create a tsunami and wipe out a whole island. And it doesn't stop there. It will destroy half the Australian coast, killing thousands of people. Not long after that, he is captured and taken into the middle of the rain forest to a little hospital. They want to cut out his liver, eyes, and any other organ that he can live without until he finally dies, and sell them and make thousands and millions of dollars. And the worst part is, they act like nothing is even happening. The end of the book comes with a big shocker. Want to know what it is? Then you'll have to read the book.

I rate this book 4/5 stars.

"What Happened to Cass McBride?" by Gail Giles

She soon discovers, via a small air tube that connects her to the surface, that her prison has been devised by Kyle, who holds Cass responsible for the recent suicide of his younger brother. After kidnapping and burying her, Kyle plans to further torment Cass to fully exact his revenge. The psychological drama deepens when Cass realizes her ability to survive depends on her being able to sell Kyle on her innocence. Suspense builds as the story interweaves with the ongoing, and seemingly ineffective, police investigation.

This page-turner, because of some language and content (you will not quickly forget the content of David's suicide note, nor the manner in which he left it), is best read by mature middle- and high-school teens.
