"Dreamland" by Sarah Dessen

Caitlin has felt alone after her older sister Cass ran away on her birthday. The whole family has been affected. But then Caitlin meets Rogerson. He is mysterious, exotic, and addictive. She can't live without him, and he feels the same way. But Rogerson is also dangerous. When Caitlin makes the small mistake of being late, when her best friend Rina was in a crisis and needed comforting. She was late to meet Rogerson, and was taken by surprise after a joke, by being hit in the face. This was the first time Caitlin saw the real Rogerson. Now, she has to stick to the strict schedule, never be late, and never be caught talking to another male outside of her family. Even when she obeys him, he finds an excuse to hit her anyways. Rogerson even influenced her to do drugs, the drugs he sells. Through all this, Caitlin feels like she is drowning, not able to come to the surface and breathe. Her parents are too occupied with seeing Cass on the Lamont Whipper Show and waiting for calls, to see what is really happening. It seems like Cass is in too deep, and won't be able to tell anyone. She can't break up with Rogerson because she loves him. Will she finally tell someone, or will she just be pushed too far? Will Rogerson go too far, and hurt her bad enough to lose herself? Will Caitlin finally be able to breathe? To find out read Dreamland by Sarah Dessen.
This book is a really intense book, by one of my favorite authors. I give it five out of five stars. Sarah Dessen also has many other great books that are equally treasured by me. I recommend this book to people who love suspense and drama.

"Eclipse" by Stephenie Meyer

Bella Swan, after being left by the love of her life, Edward Cullen, is being forced with a decision. Becoming best friends with Jacob Black in "New Moon,"healed her when Edward was gone, but also made an awkward relationship, because Jacob loves Bella. Now she is forced to choose between her love of Edward, the talented teenage vampire, or Jacob, the warm loving teenage werewolf. Bella also has to face graduating high school, and Victoria. Victoria is after Bella, after Edward killed her mate James. Now, Bella is being threatened by an unknown vampire who knows how to get around Alice's visions. That vampire even went as far as stealing Bella's belongings with her scent on them. Is it the Volturi, who are planning to visit Bella to see if she is a vampire? Is it the newborn Vampires who are killing many people in Seattle? Is it an unknown threat? Will Bella survive to become a vampire? And, will she chose the love of her life, or her best friend?
I love "Eclipse." I give it, like most of my books, five out of five. This is the third book in the Twilight series, and is really great. I recommend this book to people who have started the Twilight series already. I have read this books twice.

"The Tale of Despereaux" by Kate DiCamillo

Despereaux, a mouse, was born in a castle. He was small, and the only one to survive being born in his litter. He was not an ordinary mouse, not always thinking of food. He loved to read, and could hear things other mice seemed not to hear, with his large ears.
But Despereaux isn't the only character in this four part story. There is Roscuro, who wants revenge on the Princess Pea, and Miggery Sow, who wants to become a princess. These characters weave a story like no other, that shows the change of light and darkness in people's lives. The differences in these characters, develops different plans and shows how each character developed into who they are.
So,why does Roscuro want revenge on the Princess Pea? Well,it has a lot to do with soup and light. Why does Despereaux get taken to the dungeon, and who does he love with all of his heart?Why does Miggery team up with Roscuro to get the Pea to the Dungeon? Why is the dungeon so dangerous, that if you venture to far inside you will never come out? Why does Despereaux lose his tail, and what is the red thread for? To find out you have to read "The Tale of Despereaux" by Kate DiCamillo.
I give "The Tale of Despereaux" a five out of five stars because it i s one of my favorite books I have ever read. I've read it more than once, and loved it every time. It is so funny and cute, and I will read it again. This is a classic.

"Stargirl" by Jerry Spinelli

Do you play a ukulele and sing to other students at lunch? Do you wear old fashioned clothes and keep a pet rat named Cinnamon? Well, you do if you are Stargirl Caraway. Stargirl is new in school, and everyone is talking about her. Leo Borlock is terrified the first time she looks straight at him, thinking she will come talk to him. Stargirl even sends Leo a valenitne on Valentines Day. Leo can't really get her out of his head, and one day follows her after school. Where does she go? She goes to the dessert, but he doesn't follow her any longer. He even walks to her house and hides behind their car. Then, Stargirl comes out and finds him. What does she say? Well, you have to read "Stargirl" by Jerry Spinelli to see what she says to Leo, and to find out if she can also capture his heart.

I give "Stargirl" five stars, because it's a great lesson. There probably aren't many people like Stargirl, who send you a card or do something nice for a person they don't even know. She is a very selfless person, who during the book was treated badly because no one knew her. They judged her before they knew her, even though she was a great person. I think overall it was a great book that I recommend to anybody and will read again.

"After" by Francine Prose

The school shootings at Pleasant Valley upset many people, especially the kids who went to Central High School. It happened fifty miles away from them, and the school is taking it very seriously, like hiring a grief and crisis counselor named Dr. Willner. They think kids are so depressed that they would start a shooting at Central. All new rules are being made, and students, like Tom, feel like prisoners. There are metal detectors, backpack searches, and no wearing red. That's not all. People are getting sent away to " Rehab" camps and never being seen again. The school even e-mails the parents every night and to kids it is like their parents are brainwashed. Will everything stop, or will no one be able to stop it. Well, you will have to read After by Francine Prose.
I give this book five stars because the whole time, you hear the ridiculous rules and the nonstop need for survival in the school. It is a thriller and I recommend it to everyone.

"The Truth About Forever" by Sarah Dessen

Macy has a long summer ahead of her. Her boyfriend is going to Brain Camp, and she is stuck working at an imformation desk at a library. One night her mother is having a party for work, and she meets the people from Wish catering. These people change Macy's life. She gets a job at Wish and is great friends with Wes, the handsome one of the groop. But Macy's boyfriend he would like a break for the summer, and she hates her job at the library. She would love to quit everything and stay with Wish, but that wouldn't fit in the confined, perfect world that she and her mother have created for themselves. As Macy ventures out, does she get into trouble because of doing things that to her mother aren't acceptable. Can she realize how she feels about Wes. Find out in " The Truth About Forever," by Sarah Dessen.
I'd give "The Truth About Forver" 5 stars, because it is written so well, and it is a story that will keep you reading for hours. People will really enjoy this book and all of the other Sarah Dessen books. You can relate to Macy. She has some problems with her mother that other people might have. I loved every minute of it.

"Walk Two Moons" by Sharon Creech

Salamanaca Hiddle is in the car, and on her way to Idaho with her grandparents. On the way Sal tells the story of Phoebe Winterbottom, her friend in Idaho. Why is she in the car going to Idaho and why is she telling the story of Phoebe? She is in the car to go and find her mother who left her and her father. Sal feels the if she can make it to Lewiston, Idaho by her mother's birthday there could be a way her mother could come back. She is telling the story of Phoebe because her grandparent wanted to hear a story. But as the story she is telling keeps coming out, her own story is coming out as well. You will meet Phoebe, the girl who believes in lunatics and ax murderers, Ben who's hair smells like grapefruit, Mrs. Cadaver, the lady with wild hair, Mr. Birkway, a strange english teacher, and Sal, a girl who wants to find her mother and discovers more about herself during the trip. One thing Sal does learn is, don't judge a person until you've walked two moons in his moccasins.

I love this book. I give it 5 stars for being creative, funny, and entertaining. I will read it again many times.

"Uglies" by Scott Westerfeld

Tally has lived in the city her whole life. Things are getting good in her life. She has a new best friend named Shay who she met in New Pretty Town while sneaking over and causing a huge commotion. Because of the problem Shay thinks Tally is really tricky. Tally is also turning 16. At 16 you get an operation that turns you into a pretty, what every ugly dreams of. But the day that the operation comes, Shay has run away a week before to the smoke, and Tally goes to Special Circumstances. They say that Tally has to go and find her friend or never turn pretty. So maybe things aren't so good.

I love the book Uglies. There are so many things that shock you during the book and I loved every minute the first time I read it. I give it 5 stars easily. Everyone should read it.

"Because of Winn-Dixie" by Kate DiCamillo

One day India Opal Buloni goes to the supermarket, and brings home something that no one would expect. A dog she named after the Winne-Dixie supermarket. Why does she bring this dog home? Because she wanted to save him for going to the pound and she told the manager that that he was her dog. In the beginning she is a little iffy about the dog, but soon she falls for the charming smile, and the great personality. This dog helps her out more than she thinks though. Winne-Dixie helps her meet Miss. Franny Block, Otis, and Gloria Dump. Opal probably would've had a different experience if she hadn't met Winne-Dixie, and she might just help some people along the way.
I give Because of Winne-Dixie 5 stars because it is a charming story full of laughs, and tears. I have read it more than once, and I loved it every time.

"Bridge to Terabithia" by Katherine Paterson

Jess Aarons has one goal for his fifth grade year, to be the fastest. On the first day it is time to race, and Jess isn't concerned at all. But a new girl {Leslie Burke} joins the race. She is the only girl to ever race. Jess is still not concerned. But she beats every boy, even Jess! Even Jess is surprised. Even more surprising, she is Jess's new neighbor. He soon falls for Leslie's imagination and together they create the magical land of Terabithia which you enter by swinging over the creek on the magical rope. All of the adventures play a part in their life, but could it cost them something great? After a terrible day, Jess realizes that he is alone now, and nothing will ever change. Will the thought of Leslie keep him going?

I would give Bridge to Terabithia 5 stars. All of the emotion and the plot keep you sucked into the book. It is a timeless classic to me and other people probably think that too. I really recommend this book.

"New Moon" by Stephenie Meyer

WARNING! This is the sequel to Twilight by Stephenie Meyer, so if you haven't read it it will spoil it.
Bella Swan is a regular high school student, facing regular problems, except for one tiny thing. She has a vampire boy friend! Everything seems normal too. But one day Edward starts to act strange. He's quiet.The worst thing that could happen, happens. Edward leaves! Bella is crushed and only one thing can get her through this. Jacob Black. Bella relies on him to be her sunshine and he is. But what happens when Jacob is drawn into a mysterious cult, and Bella doesn't know what to do?
Read New Moon by Stephenie Meyer.

New Moon is great. I give it four stars. Why? Because the whole time with Jacob makes you want Edward to come back. I loved it.

"Twilight" by Stephenie Meyer

Bella Swan is moving to Forks, Washington { practically the rainiest place on Earth} from Phoenix, Arizona, to live with her dad, Charlie. But on the first day of school Bella notices a table of kids anything but normal. But it's not that they are weird. They are more beautiful than anything Bella has ever seen. The best part is that one of them actually notices her. He is probably the most beautiful of all to Bella, with his bronze hair and pale skin. But then he glares at her for no reason with horrible black eyes, and he looks pained just sitting next to her in biology. The next day he is gone, and every day he is gone Bella wonders if it was all her fault.



Twilight was so awesome. I give it 5 Stars all the way. I think many people would love this book. So many people are already reading it because whenever I'm in the library it is never there. People who love romance and vampire books would love this book.
