"The Lovely Bones" by Alice Sebold

Susie Salmon is a 14-year-old girl who is brutally raped and murdered by the creepy next door neighbor. Most of the novel takes place in the "in between," as Susie describes it. A place that she considers to be a sort of heaven for her. From there she watches over her distraught family as they are torn apart over her murder and as they search for her murderer.

This novel deals with grief, coming to terms with loss, and finding inner strength. I highly recommend it to anyone who is struggling with the loss of a loved one. I also recommend it to people who like novels that deal with the "supernatural." A great read!!

"The Little Prince" by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry

The Little Prince was suggested to me by my dad. It was a great read. I started reading it, and I thought it was very, very interesting, and true.
I liked this book because I found it to be true, and it gave me a different look on somethings. Lets just say that after you read it, you'll look at the stars and see if you can see the sheep and the flower, on the little princes's planet.
If I could rate this book, it would be 4 out of5.

"New Moon" by Stephenie Meyers

"New Moon" was thrilling page turner for me, even though, at first I didn't like Jacob. I thought he was too "goody goody", of a character, but after finishing the book, I learned that he wasn't and he had convinced me to like him more.
After reading this book, I had to read the third one too. It is a great series. If I could rate this book, it would be 3 out of 5 stars because at first, I did not like Jacob.

"Are You There God? It's Me Margaret" by Judy Blume

i really liked this book because it is about a few 12 year old girls who r growing up they are in 8th grade. then margaret meets a girl an then they start a club and have these special rules and then they go to a party at aboys house and it was margarets first party that was not a b-day party.

"L8r,g8r" by Lauren Myracle

I really liked this book because it is about 3 teenage senior girls who instant message eachother about thier lives. The girls are Maddie her screen name is mad maddie, Angela her screen name is Snow Angel, and then there is Zoe her screen name is zoegirl. Then there is a girl and she is really mean her name is Jana and she is spreading rumors about Maddie, Zoe, and Angela. I really liked this book and I think that if somene else read it they would really like it. The book is also in a series and the first book is called TTYL, the second one is called TTFN, and the third one is called L8r, G8r.

"The Secret Hour: Midnighters, Book 1" by Scott Westerfield

Imagine a world where time stops... pretty cool huh? In Bixby, thats exactly what happens. For children who are born one second before or after midnight, you have one extra hour of the day(or, night!). At exactly midnight in Bixby, the whole town freezes... Except for the Midnighters! The horrible things that had always awaited the midnighters, things like slithers and Darklings finally are awakened by the power they sence in Malissa, a Midnighter new to the "Blue Time" when the whole town freezes. Scared at first, Malissa ventures out only to start un- ravveling the mysterys that awaited her as a true Midnighter, with real powers, the power to controll... HA!!!!! Yeah, like I would spoil that! Yuo will just have to read to find out.

"Between Mom and Jo" by Julie Anne Peters

I especially loved this book because it is such a page turner. "Between Mom and Joe" is kind of a sad story, but it has a lot of special moments for the characters. At first Nick (the main character) was ashamed of his parents, but then he realizes that he has the best parents in the world.
This book is great if you love suspense. I know I did! "Between Mom and Joe" is a great book. The author has written other books that have gotten awards, so she is a great author. I would rate this book of 5 out of 5 stars.
