"A Coal Miner's Bride: The Diary of Anetka Kaminska" by Susan Campbell Bartoletti


This book was one of my favorites. Anetka Kaminska,a polish immagrant,come to America because her Father gave her away to marry A man named Stanley Garywich. Only to find love to a man named Leon Nasivich.Leon,an ex-soilder of the current Zaar,Comes with Anetka to America. After Stanley and Anetka are are married, troubles arise and Stanley is killed in a mine fall. So Anetka goes from wife to widow in a matter of months. Now that she is open, leon takes that chance.1 One month later,there is a riot and leon is shot. Does he survive? Only way to find out is to read it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
