"My Side of The Mountain" by Jean Craighead George

This is the classic survival story of Sam Gribley. He is a native of NYC that has ran away to the Catskills to live off the land. He faces many challenges along the way. He meets new friends too such as Frightful the falcon and the Baron weasal. His home is cool though, it's a hollow tree! This is short but sweet book full of realistic people and places. I would rate this a 4 of 5 stars. A good read.
