"Al Capone Does my Shirts" by Gennifer Choldenko

Alcapone Does My Shirt is all about a boy that moves to Alcatraz, because his dad got a job as a guard there. Moose moved to Alcatraz with his mom dad and little/big sister Natalie. Natalie had a problem with herself. every year she wouldn't get any older. on her birthday she turned 10 and 10 was the only number she turned. When moving to Alcatraz, Moose met some friends along the way. Moose had many friend Piper was a friend to him but wasn't a friend at the same time. Piper was the daughter of Moose's fathers boss. The one thing that Moose cant live with out is baseball. that is were he met another friend. On the first day of play a kid came up to him and asked him if he could get a ball that one of the prisoner played with. the rule was on alcatraz that if it went over you kept it. So Moose wanted on so bad.Rating 5-5 stars.it is a good book for everyone.

I was lucky enough to visit Alcatraz about 20 years ago and I will never forget it - the place is so beautiful and haunting at the same time. I loved this book, too, and now there is a sequel, "Al Capone Shines My Shoes."
